The investigation of environmental crimes, as well as the drafting of the corresponding police report when necessary, falls within the competencies exercised by Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA ́s) throughout their national territories. This task is carried out in cooperation with international institutions when required. Countries constitute specialized units responsible
for the protection of the natural environment and this training course provide the knowledge to develope investigation skills needed in this topic.
