The doctoral thesis consists of an original research work produced by the doctoral student, and its presentation is the ultimate goal of doctoral studies.

Doctoral studies are organized through programs, as determined by the statutes of the universities and in accordance with the criteria established in the relevant legislation. These studies must culminate in the preparation and defense of a doctoral thesis incorporating original research results.
