Entry Profile
Entry Profile
The recommended entry profile for the PDIQ is a graduate (or licentiate) degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Technologies Engineering, Energy Engineering, or Energy Resources Engineering. In addition, students must have obtained a University Master's degree related to the PDIQ's research lines. The recommended master's degrees are: Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Energy Engineering, Renewable Energies, Petrochemistry and Hydrogen Technologies, Advanced Catalysis and Molecular Modelling, Materials Chemistry for the Future, and Bioprocess Engineering and Industrial Biotechnology. These qualifications provide the academic training and scientific-technical skills related to Chemical and Process Engineering required for admission to the PDIQ, and are fully in line with the research lines that make up the Programme.
Due to the close academic connection between the qualifications specified in the recommended entry profile and the Doctoral Programme's research lines, students from the qualifications mentioned have the scientific-technical training and maturity required for the proper development of their doctoral thesis. The Programme's Academic Committee will verify, for each admission application, the suitability of the candidate's prior training and its correspondence with the selected research line.
Likewise, an appropriate B2 level of English is recommended, since this language is a fundamental tool in the academic and research field. In particular, it is regularly used to consult and understand specialised bibliography, review scientific articles, and search for information relevant to the development of doctoral research. Likewise, proficiency in English will facilitate participation in academic activities such as conferences, seminars, and scientific publications, thereby contributing to proper integration into the research community.
