Yiyang Cheng

Yiyang Cheng is Professor of Hispanic Philology at the Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literature at Fudan University, China. She is a member of the Spanish Teaching Council of the Ministry of Education and of the Council of the Latin American Studies Association. She is also a specialist member of the Association of Chinese Translators. Recently, she was appointed member of the Editorial Committee of the scientific journal 'Historia y Comunicación Social'.

Within her research career she worked on foreign literature, Chinese literature in Spain or Spanish poetry, in the following projects: Studies on foreign literature in the last 30 years (2009-2012, National Social Sciences Project), Contemporary Chinese literature in Spain (2013, Beijing Municipal Project) or Chinese literature in Spain (2014, National Social Sciences Project). Within this framework, she is the author of several publications such as: El mundo y la humanidad en las guerras (2009), Historia de la Literatura Hispánica en China (2015), Estudios de la poesía española en el siglo XXI (2017), Estudios sobre la literatura extranjera durante los 30 años después de la apertura y reforma de China -parte sobre España- (2018) e Investigación sobre el estilo y la “extrañificación” lingüística de tres traductores chinos de poemas de García Lorca (2019).
