Finalist for the National History Award (1990) Ortega y Gasset Award for Essay and Humanities (1993). National History Award (2014). Member of the Scientific Council of the Casa de Velázquez (Ministére del’Enseignement et de la Recherche (2007-2010). Member of ITEM (Madrid Theatre Institute. Attached to the UCM) from 2008 to the present. Member of the Board of the General Archives of Simancas from 2010 until now. Deputy Secretary of the RAH (2010-2014), Treasurer of the RAH since 2015 and Member of the Governing Board of the Corporation. Coordinator of the Master’s Degree in History of the Hispanic Monarchy (UCM) (2009-2012). Holder of the Luis García de Valdeavellano Chair (2017). As leader of the HERMESP-UCM Research Group: Elites and Agents in the Hispanic Monarchy: Forms of political articulation, negotiation and patronage, she led several national and community research projects. She published almost one hundred articles, book chapters and monographs, the most recent being: Un banquero en el Siglo de Oro. Octavio Centurión, el financiero de los Austrias. Madrid, The Sphere of Books (2015); and Los banqueros y la crisis de la Monarquía Hispánica of 1640 (Marcial Pons, 2013), monograph for which she obtained the National Award the following year.
