Resolution of conflicts, complaints and claims

With regard to complaints and suggestions, the reception treatment and proposal of solutions is assumed by the Quality Committee. To make a complaint or suggestion:

  1. There is a unified suggestion and complaints box for the entire Faculty of Philology
  2. There is also a complaints box on the Doctoral Programme page

In addition, complaints and suggestions, as well as other problems that concern doctoral students and thesis supervisors can come in three additional ways:

  1. e-mail to the Program Coordinator, and/or to any of the members of the Academic Committee
  2. through the internal surveys carried out by the Program itself, for the evaluation of the operation of the program in general and the events organized within it
  3. through instances elevated to Vice-Deanship.

The complaints and suggestions received are dealt with at a meeting of the Programme Quality Committee, in coordination with the Academic Committee of the Programme. If necessary, these issues are solved in coordination with the Quality Commission of the Faculty of Philology, the Vice-Deanship of Postgraduate Studies, and the Doctoral School.

Within the scope of its competence, the Commission resolves in agile deadlines the possible claims, comments or queries that are presented, trying to maintain a positive style in conflict management.

With regard to the satisfaction index of the complainants, the program has developed a questionnaire whose results are accessible to those who request it.

With regard to suggestions for improvement, they are also dealt with in the Quality Committee in coordination with the Academic Committee and are implemented as far as possible within our competences.

Finally, the quality committee transfers suggestions and complaints that are not within its competence to the corresponding department of higher instance and carries out, as far as possible, a timely follow-up of them.
