Doctoral Thesis Title Registration

According to the regulations established in Royal Decree 99/2011 (BOE 10/02/2011) of Complutense University of Madrid (BOUC nº 10 of April 29, 2015), in point 8.6, “once the PhD student registered in the program, a personalized activity document will be opened for the purposes of the individualized control registration referred to by Article 2.5 of Royal Decree 99/2011. In this document will be registered all activities of interest for PhD development, according to the rules of the UCM, the Doctoral School, where appropriate, or the Academic Committee itself. This document will be regularly reviewed by the Tutor and the Supervisor and evaluated by the Academic Commission responsible for the PhD program”.

Also and within a maximum period of six months after registration, the Academic Commission responsible for the PhD program will assign a doctoral Supervisor to each student who may or may not coincide with the Supervisor designated during registration. After that, the registration of the doctoral thesis title will take place, as well as the appointment of the PhD student Director, for which the following forms must be submitted:

“The Academic Committee heard the doctoral student, the Supervisor and the Tutor, may modify the appointment of the Tutor or the PhD student Supervisor, at any time during the doctoral period, provided that there are justified reasons (Point 8.5.  BOUC nº 10 of April 29, 2015).
