Champs de lavande à l'Abbaye Notre-Dame de Sénanque

Since the Middle Ages, the monks of the Cistercian abbey of Sénanque, in Provence, are dedicated to the farming of lavender, with which they produce sweets, honey and soap. The austere beauty of the Romanesque monastery, which harmonizes with the intense violet color of the surrounding countryside, is an invitation to peace and tranquility.
