Zoyne Pedrero Zayas

Lecturer and researcher at Pau et des Pays de l'Adour University. Research support staff and Honorary Collaborator (2006-08) at the Analytical Chemistry Department of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences at UCM. Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Havana University (Cuba) and a Master’s Degree in Physics from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Rio de Janeiro, including an internship at Van der Graaf Laboratory (Brazil, 2003) and a PhD in Chemical Sciences from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2008). Participation in such R&D projects financed in national and/or international public calls for proposals as New Methodologies for the Study and Control of Food Safety and Quality (ANALISYC) of the Regional Government of Madrid (CAM-S505/AGR/0312) (2006-2009), Identification and quantification of species of interest in food by mass spectrometry (UCM06-33061) (2007-2009), Screening methods for Water data Information in support of the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (SWIFT-WFD) (European Commission) (CT-2003-502429) (2004-2007), Designs and developments in sample digestion for speciation, selective extraction and metal(oid)-protein interaction studies (Ministry of Science and Technology, CICYT CTQ2005-02281) (2005-2008), Caracterizaçao de películas delgadas de novos materiais utilizando feixes iónicos (Latino-American Physics Centre-CLAF)(1999). Prize from Analytical Bioanalytical Chemistry magazine for the Poster presented at the 4th International Conference on Trace Element Speciation in Biomedical, Nutritional and Environmental Sciences. Continuous periods at foreign centres of more than one month, including at the Doctorate Institute for Analytical Sciences (ISAS) in Dortmund (Germany) and the University of Helsinki (Finland).
