Lucila Finkel Morgenstern

Contracted Professor Doctor in the Department of Sociology: Methodology and Theory. School of Political Science and Sociology, Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Doctor in Sociology (UCM) and Master of Arts in Sociology (University of California, Los Angeles, UCLA). She has held various positions of management at Universidad Complutense de Madrid: Coordinator of the University Master’s Degree in “Research Methodology in Social Sciences”, Vice Dean of Post-graduate Studies and External Internships, and Delegate of the Rector for Lifelong Learning, External Internships and Employability. She was Vice-President of Institutional and International Relations of the Spanish Sociology Federation (FES), Coordinator of the CRUE External Internships Subgroup and Vice-President of the University Network of Post-graduate Studies and Lifelong Learning (RUEPEP).

She has taught various bachelor’s degree and master’s degree courses related to research methodology and data analysis, although she also has extensive teaching experience on proprietary degree programmes, such as the proprietary Master’s Degree in Programme and Public Policy Assessment, the Specialised Course in Applied Social Research and Data Analysis at the Centre for Sociological Research (CIS) and the Expert in Project Teams and Leadership Course, which she heads up.

Her main fields of research fall into the Sociology of Work and Professions and into the analysis of inequality, both from the perspective of job insecurity and the perspective of higher education (including living and working conditions of university students, external internships, social responsibility of universities and university dual training). She has completed two six-year periods of research and one six-year period of knowledge transfer. She forms part of the Editorial Committee of the Sociological Research Collection of the Spanish Sociology Federation - Editorial Síntesis, the Board of Directors of the magazine entitled Cuadernos de Relaciones Laborales and the Editorial Board of the magazine entitled Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas (REIS).
