Fernando Alberto Barbosa Dos Santos Rodrigues
Fernando Alberto Barbosa dos Santos Rodrigues is Associate Professor of the Department of Social Anthropology at the Faculty of Political Sciences and Sociology of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). He teaches the Social Work degree course at the UCM Faculty of Social Work and was the professor in charge of the virtual teaching of the subject, Introduction to Social Anthropology at the University for the Elderly in April and May 2020.
He is currently studying for a PhD at the Institute for Feminist Research on Gender, Postcolonialism and Migration, on African Women and Distance Care.
Within his research career he worked on linguistic policies, postcolonialism, issues of “race” and ethnicities and miscegenation, in Portugal and Spain. In recent years he has been specialising on the subject of youth in migratory contexts, migrations, interculturality and Diversity Management. He participates as a Researcher/Collaborator in different research projects at the UCM.
