Andrea Donofrio

Andrea Donofrio is a professor in the Department of Journalism and Global Communication of the Faculty of Information Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). He teaches on the Master's Degree course in Equality and Intervention in Gender Violence in Various Professional Spheres, attached to the Institute of Feminist Research of the UCM, he is Coordinator of the subject History of Political Thought of the Faculty of Information Sciences of the UCM and professor at the University for the Elderly of the UCM.

He is currently Co-director of the scientific journal 'Historia y Comunicación Social' and member of various projects such as: the R&D project corresponding to the national programme for the promotion of Scientific and Technical Research of excellence, a national subprogramme for knowledge generation, Dictionary of political and social symbols: iconographic keys, places of memory and symbolic landmarks in the 20th century Spanish imagination, the project of the Complutense University of Madrid Global and transnational history, the Teaching Innovation project entitled Creation of contents for a web environment on Media Report IV corresponding to the 2018 call for Projects of Innovation and Improvement of Teaching Quality of the Complutense University of Madrid and the project of the Complutense University of Madrid Culture and the Nordic Model of the Information Society.

He is an expert in the History of Political Thought, Italian Politics, and International Relations, and published various articles on these subjects, including: 1968: la contestación estudiantil en Italia y el PCI, Past and Memory Review.
