Postgraduate studies in team management, quality, pedagogics, psychology, research methodologies, communication, document management and European law at the following universities: Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Universidad de Educación a Distancia and the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Degree in Spanish Philology from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (National award) with Pedagogical Aptitude Certificate.

Research experience at the CSIC (Higher Scientific Research Council) in Spain, at the Centre for Digital Library Research at Strathclyde University and at Glasgow Caledonian University in the United Kingdom, and also Universidad Veracruzana in Mexico.
