Bernardo Morales Mateo
Bernardo Morales is a PhD candidate in English Linguistics at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), under the supervision of Dr. Lara Moratón and Dr. María Davinia Sánchez García.
He has over 20 years of experience in English Language Teaching and holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Leicester.
He currently works as a Project Manager at Grupo Edelvives, where he leads the development of their digital reading platform. He also teaches in the Master’s in School Management at Universidad de Alcalá, the Master’s in Bilingual Education at Nebrija University, and in the Grado en Maestro en Educación Primaria at UNIR. Bernardo is a certified Google for Education Trainer, and an Eaquals and International House World inspector.
Research
His doctoral research explores how artificial intelligence can support English language learning in senior learners, focusing on the design and evaluation of an AI-powered app grounded in second language acquisition (SLA) theories.
His interests include technology-enhanced language learning (TELL), inclusive instructional design, and lifelong learning.
