CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS: Language and Identity, Cultural Linguistics, Critical Discourse Analysis, Language and Identity in Food Studies, Audiovisual Translation.
PhD SUPERVISION EXPERIENCE: one doctoral dissertation supervised and completed (on a comparison the Southern Cameroonian and Catalan independence movements from a discourse perspective, March 2018); currently supervising two other dissertations (on the linguistic construction of British and Indo-Pakistani cultural identities in the British cinema, and The use of SubRip in teaching subtitling classes), one of them co-supervised.
