Classrooms and facilities
In addition to the necessary equipment in classrooms, seminars and suitable spaces for holding scientific and academic events (Graduation Hall, Assembly Hall, Meeting Room), the Faculty has six Rooms for IT, Archaeology and Physical Geography laboratories, and a Museum of American Archaeology and Ethnology.
The UCM Library’s general holdings are available to all students, regardless of the centre in which they are enrolled.
Classes take place at the Museo Reina Sofía Study Centre. For further information on the Museo Reina Sofía’s resources, click HERE.
The Library belonging to the Faculty of Geography and History assembles around 40,000 volumes and the Marqués de Valdecilla Historical Library houses collections comprising around 3,000 manuscripts, 728 incunables and a volume of printed copies from the 16th and 19th centuries that number close to 100,000.
The Museo Reina Sofía Library comprises a series of specialist contemporary art collections. Its main aim is to facilitate access to its holdings for researchers and students, the Museo’s technical staff, or anyone with an interest in the subject matter gathered by its documentation. These holdings can be consulted freely and with no charge in the Library’s Reading Room.
Students can access internet services through the Wi-Fi networks of UCM and the Museo Reina Sofía’s Study Centre and Library.
