Pedro Mora Ramírez
Pedro Mora Ramírez holds a BA degree in English Studies from the University of Huelva (2018-2022), and is currently doing a joint MA in “Advanced English Studies: Languages and Cultures in Contact” at the University of Salamanca and the University of Valladolid. He also aspires to pursue a PhD programme in the future.
During his degree, he participated in the organisation of several seminars and conferences. He was awarded an Erasmus grant to study at the University of Stirling (2021-2022). During his MA studies, He has also been awarded an Erasmus+ scholarship to research at the University of Reading from June to August 2023.
In December 2022, he published his first paper in the field of Migration Studies with the Journal of Artistic Creation and Literary Research (JACLR) with his article “(De)constructing identities: the depiction of post-Brexit migration in Years and Years (2019)”. He is also part of the peer-review board in the JACLR.
His main research interests are the intersections of race, class and nation in contemporary Canadian literature. He is also interested in theories of resilience and affective theories of fear and trauma, which he intends to explore further in his MA thesis. Finally, he is also interested in Cultural Studies.

Pedro Mora Ramírez es graduado en Estudios Ingleses por la Universidad de Huelva (2018-2022), y actualmente realiza un máster conjunto en “Estudios Ingleses Avanzados: Lenguas y Culturas en Contacto” en la Universidad de Salamanca y la Universidad de Valladolid. Asimismo, aspira a cursar un programa de doctorado en el futuro.
Durante su grado, participó en la organización de varios seminarios y conferencias. Obtuvo una beca Erasmus para estudiar en la Universidad de Stirling (2021-2022). Durante sus estudios de máster, también se le ha concedido una beca Erasmus+ para investigar en la Universidad de Reading de junio a agosto de 2023.
En diciembre de 2022, publicó su primer artículo en el campo de los estudios sobre migración en el Journal of Artistic Creation and Literary Research (JACLR) con su artículo “(De)constructing identities: the depiction of post-Brexit migration in Years and Years (2019)”. También forma parte del consejo de revisión por pares en el JACLR desde diciembre de 2022.
Sus principales intereses de investigación son las intersecciones de raza, clase y nación en la literatura canadiense contemporánea. También le interesan las teorías de la resiliencia y las teorías afectivas del miedo y el trauma, que pretende explorar más a fondo en su tesis de máster. Por último, también le interesan los estudios culturales.
