ECArTE CONFERENCE, GENT 11th– 14th September 2024
STUDENT HELPERS
This is a call for expressions of interest in the role of student helper at the ECArTE conference in Gent in
September 2024. We are looking for 3 students from the Art Therapy Master of the Complutense
University of Madrid Students will need to be available from midday on 10th September through to the morning of 15th

Please send expressions of interest through to Marián López Fdz. Cao by April 30 2024.
Students are an integral part of the smooth and professional running of the conference. You will need to
be available from the Wednesday morning through to the Sunday morning.
Responsibilities of students:
• Liaison with technicians
• Checking technical facilities and workshop materials
• Liaison with and support for Chairs
• Directing delegates to venues/presentation rooms
• Preparing workshop and presentation spaces, including setting and striking chairs
• Covering conference desk
• Operating roving radio microphone presentation spaces, if required
• Welcoming delegates and offering general support and advice
• Preparation of conference bags and other conference materials on Wednesday morning
• Running the bookshop as necessary
Contract:
1. Students will not pay the delegate fee for the conference and be able to access papers and
workshops when not required to work
2. Students will have a gratis ticket for the closing celebration on the Saturday night
3. Students will receive 100 euros towards expenses
4. Students are offered lunches and coffee breaks
5. Students will receive a conference t-shirt
6. Overseas students will have accommodation paid (Tuesday to Sunday)
7. Students need to arrange and pay for travel to and from Gent

would like to participate as a student helper at the ECArTE conference. The ECArTE Board and the
Scientific Committee look through all expressions of interest.
