The lighting and colour research group of the Complutense University of Madrid participated in the science week with the event "Is the color of the objects real?"

In this event, different experiments were carried out to test if colour is really real.

Colour depends on three fundamental factors as not all humans perceive colour in the same way:

1. The pigments that the object is made of.
2. The lighting under which it is illuminated.
3. The perception of the human eye.

The marbles used in the experiment are not perceived with the same colours under white illumination as under red illumination.
