Current research
My research focuses on reorienting pre-service teacher training in Science Education (particularly Physics and Chemistry Didactics) through an ecosocial and transformative lens, fostering the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to address global challenges. As co-director of the research group Ecology and Environmental Education in the School, I develop the following lines of work:
-
How pre-service teachers’ knowledge and intentions shape their ability to teach science through critical, inclusive, and/or transformative approaches.
 - Evaluation and analysis of the potential of specific didactic resources - generative artificial intelligence, digital platforms and social media - to foster socioscientific reasoning and critical reflection on the nature of science.
 -
Active methodologies (e.g., Service-Learning, Design for Change) to promote student motivation and social compromise.
 -
Exploration of pedagogical adaptations in education for sustainability, vulnerable contexts, and education in emergencies.
