Article 50. UCM Governing Regulation

Composition and functions

1. The Permanent Commission of the Governing Council, as established in article 49.3 of the UCM Statutes, will be chaired by the Rector, or the person appointed by the Rector, and will consist of the Registrar, the Chief Operating Officer and the following members:

• 3 spokespeople appointed by the Rector.
• 6 spokespeople for the Deans, School Directors, Department Directors and University Institute Directors, with the following distribution:
  • 5 spokespeople for the Deans and School Directors, representing the four scientific fields.
  • 1 spokesperson for the Department and University Institute Directors.
  • 5 spokespeople representing the Academic Senate, with the following distribution:
    • 2 spokespeople for the permanent doctoral professors at the University.
    • 1 spokesperson for the remaining academic and research staff.
    • 1 spokesperson for the students
    • 1 spokesperson for the administration and services staff.

2. The Permanent Commission will assume the roles assigned by the Governing Council.
