Adolfo Muñoz Alonso (1915-1974)
He studied Theology and Philosophy in Rome, He obtained his first PhD in Theology in 1937 and his second PhD in Philosophy in 1941 from the University of Murcia. It was also at this university where he first became Professor of History of Philosophy in 1944, and later in Valencia (1956) and Madrid (1961). He was involved in the Spanish Falange from the beginning and held various appointments in the political structure during the Franco Regime.
He was appointed Rector of the Complutense University in 1972, and would remain in his post until 1973.
