En Septiembre 2022 el Grupo de Investigación de Transporte, Infraestructura y Territorio (tGIS) recibirá a Wenzhe Sun de la Universidad de Kyoto en Japón para hacer una estancia de investigación de 4 semanas. Su interés se enfoca en investigar temas de movilidad y dinámicas sociales a través del uso de técnicas de machine learning.

His profile: Wenzhe Sun is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Urban Management at Kyoto University. He received his Bachelor s degree from Tongji University, China in 2013, and his Master s degree and PhD both from Kyoto University, Japan in 2016 and 2020. He focused on demand estimation, network planning and real-time operation for intelligent bus systems using transit data and machine learning. His current research interests are learning the relationships between mobility, activity participation, and built environment, using crowdsourced big data and machine learning techniques. His recent work also focuses on explainable and interpretable deep learning.
