Open Access Policy

JACLR is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

The authors retain copyright of articles. They authorise JACLR to publish them in its website and to include them in the indexing and abstracting services, academic databases and repositories the journal participates in.

Under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0) user can download and share the work with proper attribution to the author, but prohibits both commercial use and the creation of derivative works. Under the terms of the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, users may: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format; Only for non-commercial purposes; Without modifying, adapting, remixing, transforming, or building upon the material; With attribution, meaning the user must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made (though changes are not allowed under this license, this clause ensures transparency).

Self-archiving is permitted, so that authors are allowed to deposit the published PDF version of their papers in academic and/or institutional repositories, without fee or embargo.
