PhD in English Philology, Universidad de Alcalá.

BA in Philosophy and Literature (1993) and PhD in English (1998), Universidad de Alcalá. He has been a visiting scholar at the University of California, Santa Barbara (1996, 1999 and 2014) and at the University of Limerick (2003).

He has directed six research projects and has participated in other seven. He is a member of the educational innovation group FYES. He has edited books and published articles in renowned national and international journals and written chapters on literature, culture, and US politics.

He has been the Director of the Instituto Franklin-UAH. He is an elected member of the University Council (2015) and Treasurer of the American Studies Network (ASN). His research areas include the culture and political organization of the United States.
