At Universidad Complutense since 1999, Prof. De Lorenzo has taught courses on Shakespeare, Contemporary American Poetry, and Translation—among other fields. He was a recipient of a Fulbright scholarship at Stanford (1997-99), where he did graduate work and research under the supervision of Marjorie Perloff. He has recently participated in research projects on modernity and literature, the persistence of myth in modern culture, and literature and space.


Research and Teaching interests: Contemporary American poetry; avant-garde and postmodern poetics; contemporary fiction in English; Shakespeare; ideology, power and literature; subjectivity and textuality; translation; art and literature.
