1. DEFINITION

What is the EETS?

The European Diploma Supplement (EDS) is the document that accompanies each of the official university degrees and is valid throughout the national territory, with unified information, personalized for each university graduate, about the studies completed, the results obtained, the professional skills acquired and the level of their degree in the national system of higher education (art. 3, RD 1044/2003, of August 1st).

From what date can the SET be requested?

The SET can be requested for all studies completed from the academic year 2003-04 onwards, whose study plan was in force on 12/09/2003 and always for study plans structured in credits.
We currently issue the SET for 1st and 2nd cycle studies (Diploma, Technical Engineer, Bachelor and Engineer), Degree and Master.

2. APPLICATION

How and where can I apply for the SET?

To apply for the SET you must have previously applied and paid for the official degree.

  1. Download the SET application form at the following link.
  2. Look for the e-mail (or other electronic contact) of your Student Secretary here.
  3. Ask your Student Secretary for the SET.
  4. Attach your ID/Passport/NIE to your application.
  5. The Secretary's Office will provide you with a draft of your SET that you will have to check and confirm before the final issuance of the SET.

How much does the SET cost?

The issuance of the SET is free of charge for the first printing.


For the issuance of SET Duplicates due to loss, change of personal data or correction of academic data after having approved the draft, the issuance fee will be the amount established by the Decree of the Governing Council of the Community of Madrid, which establishes the public prices for university studies leading to official degrees and academic services in the public universities of the Community of Madrid. 3. RETURN

Where and how do I pick up the SET?

At the same Student Secretary's Office where you submitted your application.
The SET can be picked up by the holder or authorized person.

4. APPLICABLE LEGISLATION
  • Royal Decree 22/2015, of January 23rd, on the issuance of the European Supplement (BOE of February 7th).
  • Royal Decree 1002/2010, of August 5, 2010, on the issuance of official university degrees (BOE of August 6).
  • Order ECI/2514/2007, of August 13, 2007, on the issuance of official Master's and Doctoral degrees (BOE of August 21).
  • Royal Decree 1044/2003, of August 1, 2003, establishing the procedure for the issuance by Universities of the European Diploma Supplement (BOE of September 11).
  • Royal Decree 822/2021, of September 28, establishing the organization of university education and the procedure for quality assurance.
