Welcome to BAES: your exciting European journey

The Una Europa Joint Bachelor of Arts in European Studies (BAES) is an innovative and unique joint degree, created in collaboration by nine Una Europa partner universities. Universidad Complutense de Madrid is one of the four institutions awarding this degree, alongside KU Leuven (Belgium), Alma Mater Studiorum Università di Bologna (Italy) and Uniwersytet Jagiellonski w Krakowie (Poland).

This three-year bachelor’s programme (180 ECTS) delves into the core principles and values of the European Union as well as the diverse states and societies within Europe. Employing a multidisciplinary approach, it explores Europe’s role on the global stage and equips students with research skills to analyze critical European issues. Through an extensive mobility programme, students not only acquire knowledge about Europe but also immerse themselves in an international environment, fostering personal growth.
