Eva Fernández
EVA FERNÁNDEZ DEL CAMPO es profesora de de arte contemporáneo y asiático en el departamento de Historia del Arte III de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Doctora en Historia del Arte en 1996, su tesis obtuvo el Premio Extraordinario de Doctorado. Desde 2008 es profesora visitante en el Instituto Empresa donde enseña en el diferentes cursos de postgrado, dentro del “World Awarness Programme”; también ha sido profesora visitante en la Universidad de Salamanca, Jawaharlal Nerhu University, en Nueva Delhi y el SOAS, en la University of London. Ha trabajado en numerosos proyectos de investigación internacionales y desde 2008 dirige un equipo internacional de investigación financiado por el Programa de I+D+I del Ministerio de Economía y Competitividad. Ha comisariado varias exposiciones, y publicado ampliamente sobre temas de arte asiático y contemporáneo. Entre sus libros figuran El arte de la India. Historia e historias, Madrid, Akal, 2013; Las pinturas de Ajanta. Teatro indio de la naturaleza, Madrid, Abada, 2007; Anish Kapoor, Hondarribia, Nerea, 2006; El Arca de Babel Teoría y práctica artística en el escenario transcultural / The Ark of Babel. EVA FERNÁNDEZ DEL CAMPO is currently Professor of Contemporary and Asian Art in the Department of Art History III in the Complutense University of Madrid. PhD in History of Art in 1996 she obtained the “UCM Extraordinary PhD Award”. Since 2008 she is visiting professor at the Instituto Empresa Business School were she teaches in the postgraduate courses in the “World Awarness Programme”, and also in the University of Salamanca. She has been invited as a research scholar in the School of Arts and Aesthetics, Jawaharlal Nerhu University, New Delhi, and the SOAS, in the University of London. She has been working in several research international projects and, since 2008 she directs an International Research Team, financed by the I+D programme. Eva Fernández del Campo has been curator of several exhibitions, and has published many articles and several books among which: El arte de la India. Historia e historias (Indian art. History and stories) Madrid, Akal, 2013; Las pinturas de Ajanta. Teatro indio de la naturaleza (The Paintings of Ajanta. Indian Theatre of Nature), Madrid, Abada, 2007; Anish Kapoor, Hondarribia, Nerea, 2006; El Arca de Babel Teoría y práctica artística en el escenario transcultural/The Ark of Babel. Artistic Theory and Practice in the Transcultural Scene, Madrid, 2012, Abada, and has also translated Coomaraswamy’s The dance of Shiva into Spanish.

Tatiana Aguilar
TATIANA AGUILAR-ÁLVAREZ BAY es profesora e investigadora del Centro de Estudios Literarios, del Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas, de la Universidad Autónoma de México. Doctora en Filosofía y en Letras Hispánicas, ha investigado sobre la obra de José Ángel Valente y Octavio Paz, figuras clave y puentes entre Asia, España y México, y actualmente se encuentra en fase de desarrollo del proyecto "El despliegue de la mirada: la pintura en José Ortega y Gasset, María Zambrano y José Ángel Valente".

TATIANA AGUILAR-ÁLVAREZ BAY is professor and researcher at the Literary Studies Center, of the Philosophies Research Institute at the Universidad Autónoma of México. Doctor in Philosophy and Hispanic Literature, she has researched on the work of José Ángel Valente and Octavio Paz, key figures and bridges between Asia, Spain and México, and currently under the development phase of the project "The Deployment of the Look: Painting on José Ortega y Gasset, María Zambrano and José Ángel Valente".

Ana Agud
ANA AGUD APARICIO es profesora titular de indoeuropeo en la Universidad de Salamanca, autora de varios estudios y traducciones sobre textos clásicos orientales y actualmente trabaja sobre temas de lingüística comparativa, filosofía del Lenguaje y literatura y filosofía comparativas. Cuenta en su haber con gran cantidad de publicaciones y ha dirigido y participado en numerosos proyectos de investigación.

ANA AGUD APARICIO is associate professor of Indo-European at the University of Salamanca, author of various studies and translations about classical oriental texts currently works on issues of comparative linguistics, philosophy of language and literature, and comparative philosophy. Teresa Aizpun
TERESA AIZPÚN es doctora en Filosofía por la Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität de Munich. Su labor docente comenzó en México (Universidad Pamamericana, D.F) y actualmente es profesora de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos. Después de varios años dedicada a la Antropología desde el punto de vista de la creación, se centró en la actividad creadora del ser humano en general y su importancia para el propio ser humano. Su trabajo actualmente se centra en la conciencia como la capacidad creadora del hombre no sólo en relación a las obras de arte o a sí mismo, sino a todo lo real.

TERESA AIZPÚN holds a PHD in Philosophy from the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich. Her teaching activity started in México (Universidad Pamamericana, D.F) and currently she lectures at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, in Madrid. After several years devoted to the field of Anthropology from the perspective of creation, she focused on the creative activity of the human being in general, and its relevance for that human being. Her work is currently centered on the consciousness as the creative capacity of man, not only with regard to the art works or to the self, but to everything that is real.

Rosa Fernández
ROSA FERNÁNDEZ GÓMEZ es profesora de estética en la Universidad de Málaga y coordinadora del Área de Estética del Departamento de Filosofía. Trabaja sobre estética comparada, transculturalidad y arte contemporáneo y cuenta en su haber con gran cantidad de publicaciones y ponencias sobre el tema en congresos internacionales.

Maite Linaje
MAITE GONZÁLEZ LINAJE ha sido miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores de México y está especializada en las relaciones interculturales entre China y Occidente a lo largo de la historia, haciendo énfasis en el arte. Es Investigadora del Instituto de Artes Plásticas de la Universidad Veracruzana y profesora universitaria. Ha recibido varios apoyos nacionales en México a sus proyectos.Cuenta con publicaciones específicas y ponencias sobre China en congresos y eventos.

MAITE GONZÁLEZ LINAJE has been member of the National Researchers System in México and she is specialized in the intercultural relationships amongst China and the West through History, with emphasis on art. She is researcher of the Plastic Arts Institute at Universidad Veracruzana and lecturer at the university. Her projects have received national support several times. She counts with specific publications and conferences about China in congresses and events.

Henar Riviere
HENAR RIVIÈRE RÍOS es Doctora en Historia del Arte (Mención Europea) por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Se licenció con Premio Nacional Fin de Carrera en dicho centro y realizó estudios de postgrado en la Freie Universität de Berlín como becaria del DAAD (Servicio Alemán de Intercambio Académico) y "laCaixa". Está especializada en Fluxus, la primera red internacional y transatlántica de artistas, así como en el grupo Zaj y, en general, en las nuevas prácticas artísticas que se desarrollaron a partir de la década de 1960 abriendo el camino a un nuevo modo de entender el arte más horizontal y rizomático.

HENAR RIVIÈRE RÍOS holds a PhD in Art History. She received it from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where she also graduated with National Career Award. She completed postgraduate studies at the Freie Universität Berlin with a scholarship from DAAD (Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst) and “laCaixa”. She is a scholar of Fluxus, the first international and transatlantic artists’ network, as well as of the group Zaj and, in general, of the new artistic practices developed from the 1960s onwards, which were pioneering a new way of understanding art as a horizontal and rhizomatic practice.

Sergio R. Aliste
SERGIO R. ALISTE es Doctor en Historia del Arte (Mención Europea) por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid con una tesis sobre la vinculación de la enseñanza artística y el arte moderno en la escuela de arte Kala-Bhavana (Santiniketan, Bengala Occidental, India), durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. Ha sido investigador visitante en SOAS, University of London y en el American Institute of Indian Studies de Delhi, e investigador invitado por Visva-Bharati University, Bengala Occidental. Actualmente coordina el Título de Especialista UCM en Arte de India.

SERGIO R. ALISTE holds a PhD in Art History (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) with a thesis on the linking of artistic education and modern art at the School of Art Kala-Bhavana (Santiniketan, West Bengal, India) during the first half of the twentieth century. He has been visiting researcher in the SOAS, University of London, and in the American Institute of Indian Studies, Delhi. Also has been invited as researcher by Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal. Currently he coordinates the "Art of India" postgraduate UCM course.

Ana Esther Santamaría
ANA ESTHER SANTAMARÍA FERNÁNDEZ es Profesora en la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.  Doctora en Historia del Arte por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Diplomada en Conservación y Restauración  de  Bienes Culturales por la ESRCBC de Madrid. Su investigación, centrada en la relación entre el arte y la naturaleza, está focalizada actualmente en el análisis del arte y los elementos culturales  como valores fundamentales en cuanto a la conservación y preservación de los entornos naturales.

ANA ESTHER SANTAMARÍA FERNÁNDEZ is Associate Professor in Rey Juan Carlos University, Madrid. Doctor in History of Art by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and Diploma in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage by the ESRCBC of Madrid. Her research, focused on the relationship between art and nature, is currently centered on the analysis of art and cultural elements as fundamental values regarding the conservation and preservation of natural environments.

Susana Sanz
SUSANA SANZ GIMÉNEZ es Doctora en Historia del arte contemporáneo (UCM) y Licenciada en Estudios de Asia Oriental (China), dedicada al estudio del arte contemporáneo en China, Taiwán y Japón. Su investigación se centra en el desarrollo de conceptos como la identidad, la frontera y la tradición en la obra de artistas contemporáneos del área asiática. Ha sido editora a cargo de la revista Art in China, y en la actualidad reside en Beijing (China) donde trabaja como profesora en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Beijing (CAFA) al tiempo que coordina la programación cultural del Instituto Cervantes de Beijing.

SUSANA SANZ GIMÉNEZ is Doctor in History of Contemporary Art (UCM) and B.A in East Asian Studies (China), devoted to the study on Contemporary Art in China, Taiwan and Japon. Her research is focused on the development of concepts such as identity, frontier and tradition in the work of contemporary artists in the asiatic area. She has been editor in charge of Art in China magazine, and currently she lives in Beijing (China) where she works as a professor at the Fine Arts Academy of Beijing (CAFA) while she coordinates the cultural programme of the Cervantes Institute in Beijing.

MARÍA GÓMEZ LÓPEZ es historiadora del arte especializada en arte contemporáneo del mundo árabe tras realizar sus estudios de máster en School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London. Actualmente realiza sus estudios de doctorado sobre la producción artística contemporánea de Norte de África, Oriente Medio y la diáspora centrada en explorar los procesos de construcción de la identidad a través del habitar y la pertenencia al lugar.

Cayetana Ibáñez
CAYETANA IBÁÑEZ LÓPEZ es investigadora UCM y realiza su tesis doctoral, que versa sobre los cuentos de los artistas contemporáneos en India y el lenguaje plástico basado en la oralidad y en la narratividad. Confluyen en él varias líneas comunes al proyecto: el ritmo, la proyección estética como vehículo de aprendizaje y la intersección de lenguajes plásticos.

Sol Izquierdo
SOL IZQUIERDO DE LA VIÑA, contratada predoctoral en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2017), ha centrado sus estudios en las dinámicas transculturales tras realizar el Master de Historia del Arte en el Contexto Global en la Freie Universität Berlin. Su tesis investiga las convergencias y divergencias entre las vanguardias alemana e india durante el primer tercio del siglo XX, enmarcándolas dentro del panorama de las modernidades multicéntricas. .

SOL IZQUIERDO DE LA VIÑA, predoctoral fellow at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2017), has focused on transcultural dynamics after undertaking a Master of Art History in a Global Context at the Freie Universität Berlin. Her PhD thesis researches the convergences and divergences between German and Indian avant-gardes during the first third of the twentieth century, framing them within the panorama of the Multicentred Modernisms.

Irene López
IRENE LÓPEZ ARNÁIZ es contratada predoctoral del MINECO-UCM con cargo al grupo de investigación I+D Trama. Está licenciada en Historia del Arte y ha cursado un Master en Estudios avanzados en Museos y Patrimonio Histórico-artístico. En la actualidad realiza su tesis doctoral en la Universidad Complutense en la que investiga, desde una perspectiva transcultural y transdisciplinar, el papel que las danzas procedentes de India y del Sudeste Asiático desempeñaron en la renovación tanto de la danza como de las artes plásticas en Occidente entre mediados del siglo XIX y el periodo de entreguerras.

IRENE LÓPEZ ARNÁIZ is MINECO-UCM pre-doctoral fellow within the TRAMA I+D research group. She is Bachelor in History of Art and holds a Master"s Degree in Advanced Studies in Museums and Historic-Artistic Heritage. She is currently a PhD student at Complutense University in Madrid, where she caries out a transcultural and interdisciplinary research on the role played by Indian and Southeast Asian dances in the renewal of both dance and visual art in the West from the 19th Century to the interwar period.

Arantxa Romero
ARANTXA ROMERO GONZÁLEZ es contratada predoctoral en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2018) y becaria de posgrado del Ayuntamiento de Madrid en la Residencia de Estudiantes-CSIC (2016-2018). Su tesis doctoral estudia la cuestión de la multiplicidad en las artes y específicamente las relaciones entre pintura caligráfica y poesía dentro del panorama contemporáneo francés. Paralelamente se dedica a la poesía, contando con varios actos y publicaciones, entre las que destaca Plétora (Amargord ediciones 2017).

ARANTXA ROMERO GONZÁLEZ is predoctoral fellow at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (2017) and Postgraduate Fellow of Madrid Council in Residencia de Estudiantes-CSIC. Her doctoral thesis (UCM) deals with the issue of multiplicity of arts and specifically the relationship between calligraphic painting and poetry within the contemporary French scene. In parallel, she works as a poet, having recited and publish, specially remarked Plétora (Amargord ediciones, 2018).

Andrea de la Rubia
ANDREA DE LA RUBIA GÓMEZ-MORÁN es becaria FPU e investiga el desarrollo del arte contemporáneo nepalí que se da en Katmandú a lo largo del siglo XX a partir de la tradición newarí local y los procesos de hibridación del arte de Nepal con las nuevas técnicas y estilos característicos de la cultura occidental. Habiendo residido en la zona rural y ciudad de Nepal en varias ocasiones, cuenta con un significativo número de publicaciones y conferencias internacionales.

ANDREA DE LA RUBIA GÓMEZ-MORÁN is FPU fellow and researches the development of Nepali contemporary art occurring in Kathmandu throughout the twentieth century from the local Newari tradition and the processes of hybridization of the art of Nepal with the new techniques and styles characteristic of Western culture. Having resided in both rural and city areas of Nepal on several occasions, she holds a significant number of publications and international conferences.
