Studio B

Music Recording and Production

The laboratory counts with a dedicated and acoustically treated space designed for recording and producing music projects. This space includes a soundproofed booth intended for recording vocals and acoustic instruments such as guitars and wind instruments.

In terms of equipment, we have an extensive set of professional microphones, with reference models such as the DPA 4006A, Neumann U87 ai and KM 184, and AKG C 414 XL II, as well as specialized systems for ambisonic recording such as the Soundfield ST450 MKII/K1. We also have standard dynamic microphones (Shure SM7B, SM57, SM58, Beta 52A, Sennheiser MD421 II), along with other models from Audio-Technica, AKG, Behringer, and sE Electronics, in addition to passive and active direct injection boxes.

In terms of analog equipment, SonoLAB has modules from the SSL 500 series, such as the Ultraviolet EQ and the G-Compressor, as well as Neve processors (EQ 551 and compressor 535), all interconnected via a patchbay to the Focusrite Clarett 8Pre. We also have various MIDI control surfaces, such as the Arturia Minilab 3 and the Presonus Fader Port 8. The studio also has a large collection of hardware synthesizers and samplers, such as the AKAI S2000, the Roland Super JV 1080, and two Proteus E-mu synthesizers.

All of the outboard devices are interconnected to a state-of-the-art computer running Avid Pro Tools DAW software, along with an extensive collection of professional plugins, including Melodyne, Komplete, and processing tools from brands such as Waves and Soundtoys.
