Irene Muñoz Fernández

Irene Minerva Muñoz Fernández  (Grupo de Investigación Asia) is PhD in History and Archaeology. Specialized in Rituality, History of diet and food production, Protohistory, History, and Archaeology, with a focus on the Yellow Sea Interaction Sphere. She held a Training Research Staff (PIF) position at the Ancient History Area of the Ancient History, Medieval History, and Paleography and Diplomatic Department of the Philosophy and Letters of the Autonomous University of Madrid. She has been guest research at the Japan Research Centre from the School of Oriental and African Studies (London University), as well as grant holder at Art and Culture department of Japan Foundation Madrid during 2013-2014.

Muñoz Fernández has participated in several International and National Archaeology and Ancient History events, and published scientific papers in various media. Additionally, she has translated into Spanish and reviewed some books about Japanese History for DespertaFerro Editions and for the Nagasaki Junshin Catholic University.
