The 2026 European session of the Warfare in the Ancient World International Conference will be hosted by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Registration
The conference is open to the public at both venues and will also be streamed online. Interested participants are kindly asked to register with Birgit Luschei (LuscheiB@geschichte.hu-berlin.de) and to indicate whether attendance will be via Zoom or in person. In the case of in-person attendance, the venue (Madrid or Winnipeg) should also be specified.

Conference participants are invited to submit their paper to the newly founded Diamond Open Access Online Journal Deimos after the conference (https://journals.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/index.php/deimos/index). Thematic panels may be proposed for the newly founded book series Bellona.
