Bio

I was born in Cáceres (Extremadura, Spain). I obtained a diploma in Statistics from the University of Extremadura in 2010, graduated in Applied Statistics from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2011, completed a Master's in Research in Engineering and Architecture with a specialization in Information Technologies and Communications from the University of Extremadura in 2012, and ultimately got the Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from the University of Extremadura in 2017. The doctoral work earned the International Mention and the Extraordinary Doctoral Award.

I served as a speaker in various training courses for faculty and students, delivered various invited presentations, and taught at the University of Alcalá, CEU San Pablo University, the Pedagogical University of Maputo (Mozambique), and the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (Chile) as a visiting professor. Currently, I am affiliated with the Department of Statistics and Operations Research at the Complutense University of Madrid as Associate Professor.

Research interests

Study of reliability and preventive maintenance based on the condition of systems subject to deterioration as well as the application of data science to healthcare and engineering fields.
