The program is centered around a big scientific challenge: the exploration of Mars. It is intended to use mathematical tools such as Modeling, Simulation, Data Analysis, Retrieval Algorithms and Differential Equations in order to address technological issues such as the calibration of the flight instruments and the interpretation of data obtained from a space mission to Mars.

Studies on radiation on Mars.
Magnetic and geodetic studies on Mars.
Data Mining. High performance computing and cloud.
Organization of scientific meetings on different aspects of Mars exploration. Outreach activities.
