1Personal branding refers to the practice of marketing yourself and your career. A strong personal brand maximizes your appeal as a candidate for a new job, seeking a promotion or simply expanding your network of influence. Personal brands are visible in our online social media profiles, in the clothes we wear, on our resumes and in the way we speak.
