Our lab is part of the consolidated research group "Psychopathology of Affective and Psychotic Disorders" (UCM-940693). We are focused on the study of causal mechanisms involved in the onset and maintenance of psychological disorders, as well as in the promotion of mental health. Our main goal is to develop new research lines implementing the latest advances from cognitive processes and emotion regulation research into novel applied interventions. This includes the development of new online interventions aimed to train processes of resilience against stress and to promote well-being in individuals’ daily life functioning. We have a broad transactional scope, where we integrate the experimental study of basic cognitive and affective processes into the development of new fine-grained tools for the promotion of mental health, taking advantage of the different possibilities offered by Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs).
