-          Collective creation and ownership.

-          Create a net of supporting relationships

-          Encourage and empower through arts

-          Art as a medium to develop new strategies to copy life.

Short description (no more than 100-200 words)

La gaseosa de ácido eléctrico (The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test) is an experimental performance project that develops horizontal work tools and investigates collective intelligence methods. It is carried out by a group of women about the age of 60, from  different ethnic and social backgrounds. The plot is based on the occupation of a financial club and its conversion into a social dining area, given the precarious nature of the crisis of the capitalist system in Spain.

The project has developed its own strategic approach to experimental performance arts and popular culture, which has nourished the work with body and space, text and narration, accents and mother tongues, playwriting and meta-fiction, soundscapes and stage design. This has allowed  to explore different contemporary artistic disciplines and make a call to thinking as action.

The work process has been structured into four workshops that made it possible to investigate numerous aspects of stage development: Writing and acting workshops; Soundscape design workshop; and Stage design workshop. The piece combines three spaces: the dining hall, the kitchen and the ‘metafiction’. It has been developed an exciting, complex and rather sophisticated work, however the process is undoubtedly fascinating.

The Exit, a short film project began with a real advertisment created by Beatriz Santiago and Adrián Silvestre. The claim arose almost a hundred; and 46 adventurous and migrants actresses, came to form part of a series of workshops of expression and interpretation. From this work a screenplay was formed, that of their lives, adventures and misadventures in Spain. Exit tells it through a movie in which the Viewer is able to choose the outcome to the dilemmas that the migrants were founding and helps the viewer to travel with them to their reality. The interactivity that is raised in the project allows a journey through stories, because there is not a single movie, but eight, which always start with the arrival of each one of them filled with dreams and aspirations to a new city.  It opens the private and individual output found by each protagonist in Madrid.

During the workshops migrant women share their personal narratives, difficulties, unfulfilled dreams and achievements. Through the screenplay and the making of the film different skills are reinforced as humor, empowerment, communication, selfseem and strength to copy difficulties in life..

specific theoretical or methodological references

The starting point is the art as a tool for social transformation and the artistic creation in contexts of social exclusion as a tool for intercultural dialogue and cohesion trying  to bring another "culture" to a non-specialist audience. The art in general, and visual and sonic arts are to be experienced and so, have to help rebuild individual and collective story. Art should not be considered a phenomenon tied to a special type of cultural production considered high culture, and should be able to serve as a set of cultural productions of meanings of any individual or group.

CREATION: trying to restore reciprocity in the perception; "doing things together" instead of "writing the history of the other"; rethink what should be the place of the author and his power in the creation process. The idea is not "an expert" educator of "a non-expert" but a group of people sharing an artistic experience allowing knowledge and thoughts, enriching the collective.

They believe that artistic work is constructed through narratives and stories of people and places where everyone can rethink himself as subject and as a member of a group and a community in a historical context.

Aspects such as individual and group identity, subjectivity, emotions, social roles, stereotypes, etc., become the contents of the creations, crossed by a critical eye and collective reflection.
The teaching tools used are a set of games and techniques linked to the visual arts and sound exercises, aimed to resize creation, being an effective tool in understanding and finding alternatives to social and interpersonal problems.

DISSEMINATION: based on the idea that the first step to break the social exclusion of some of the groups is, to show that there is exclusion. At the same way it is necessary to find new ways of expression for these groups, it is essential to find innovative ways to disseminate.

Dissemination as intervention, as surprise; new distribution circuits, bringing art to public spaces, open transit. At the same time, enhance the networking with other agencies and professionals in local and international level, seeking visibility of artistic productions in spaces with broad community outreach.

The topic of the course in 2014 was the problem of housing poverty and of homelessness. The participants could gather information about the topic by discussing it with people affected by these problemes and with specialists, through conferences, playings and research work, and experimented how, and mainly by which sort of visual art tools it is possible to intervene, to call attention of others to current social issues.

The work of the free school is extended to another Hungarian city and also to abroad (involving a German school group), which permits to communicate about the topic virtually and also in live when coming to Budapest

The project is shared among four cultural organizations, aimed at testing an international education and art network: GAMeC, Modern and Contemporary Gallery, Bergamo (Italy) – coordinator; CIAP, Centre International d"Art & du Paysage, Vassivière Island (France); Malmö Konsthall, Malmö (Sweden); Műcsarnok|Kunsthalle, Budapest (Hungary).
