El Dr. Juan Tomás Matarranz Araque es Profesor Asociado en el Departamento de Estudios Ingleses: Lingüística y Literatura de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Su actividad investigadora se centra en el teatro y novela inglesas, así como en la novela gráfica y la literatura transfronteriza, desde la perspectiva queer y los estudios culturales, centrándose en cuestiones identitarias, en el canon y la censura y la traductología. Doctorado en 2008 en la UCM con una tesis sobre la producción dramática de D. H. Lawrence, actualmente pertenece a los grupos de investigación MOVE, de la Universidad de Salamanca, que trabaja acerca de la expresión del evento de movimiento, y al grupo INTRAL de la UCM, sobre traducción literaria. Ha impartido docencia durante varios años en el Ministerio de Defensa y en la Universidad Europea de Madrid, y actualmente compatibiliza su actividad docente con la docencia en ESO y Bachillerato en la Comunidad de Madrid.

Dr. Juan Tomás Matarranz Araque is Associate Lecturer in the Department of English Studies at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His research interests include Jacobean Theatre and English novel, as well as graphic novel and cross border literature from a queer perspective, as well as Cultural Studies, focusing on identity, canon and censorship, and translation studies. He obtained his PhD in 2008 from the UCM with a thesis about the dramatical production of D. H. Lawrence. He currently belongs to the research group MOVE, at the Universidad de Salamanca working with the expression of event of movement, and the group INTRAL of literature translation. He has worked several years at the Spanish Defence Ministry as a teacher of English and works simultaneously as a teacher of English and Spanish in the Comunidad de Madrid.
