Fabio L. Vericat estudió Literatura Inglesa en las universidades de Edimburgo (M. A. Hons.) y Glasgow (Ph. D.). Es Profesor Titular en el Departamento de Estudios Ingleses de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y fue editor y miembro del consejo editorial del Complutense Journal of English Studies. Sus intereses de investigación actuales se centran principalmente en el sonido de la escritura. Considera, entre otras cosas, el impacto de las tecnologías mediáticas (como la radio) y las artes escénicas en la producción y recepción acústica del texto literario. Trabaja principalmente sobre T. S. Eliot y Henry James, pero también sobre literatura escocesa, cine y, en general, sobre la cuestión de la Modernidad. Es autor de From Physics to Metaphysics: Philosophy and Allegory in the Critical Writings of T. S. Eliot (Valencia UP, 2004). El Dr. Vericat ha publicado artículos en Novel: A Forum on Fiction, Journal of Modern Literature, Scottish Literary Review, South Atlantic Review, entre otros. También es colaborador de The Edinburgh Dictionary of Modernism (2018). Actualmente está trabajando en un proyecto de libro titulado provisionalmente "El drama de la modernidad auditiva en T.S. Eliot y Henry James". En otoño de 2017, fue investigador visitante en el Departamento de Inglés de la Universidad de Harvard gracias a una beca de investigación del Real Colegio Complutense en Harvard.

Fabio L. Vericat studied English Literature at the universities of Edinburgh (M. A. Hons.) and Glasgow (Ph. D.). He is Associate Professor in the English Studies Department at Universidad Complutense in Madrid and was associate editor and member of the editorial board of Complutense Journal of English Studies. His current research interests focus mainly on the sound of writing. He considers, among other things, the impact of media technologies (such as the radio) and the performance arts on the acoustic production and reception of the literary text. He writes mainly on T. S. Eliot and Henry James, but also on Scottish Literature, film and generally on the question of Modernity. He is the author of From Physics to Metaphysics: Philosophy and Allegory in the Critical Writings of T. S. Eliot (Valencia UP, 2004). Dr. Vericat has published articles in Novel: A Forum on Fiction, the Journal of Modern Literature, the Scottish Literary Review, the South Atlantic Review and others. He is also a contributor to The Edinburgh Dictionary of Modernism (2018). He is working on a book project provisionally entitled “The Drama of Aural Modernity in T.S. Eliot and Henry James.” In the Fall of 2017, he was visiting scholar in the English Department at Harvard University with the aid of a RCC Harvard Research Fellowship.
