At Universidad Complutense since 1999, Prof. De Lorenzo has taught courses on Shakespeare, Contemporary American Poetry, and Translation—among other fields. He was a Fulbright scholar at Stanford, where he did graduate work and research under the supervision of Marjorie Perloff. He has a Master of Arts in English from Stanford University. He has recently participated in research projects on modernity and literature, the persistence of myth in modern culture, and literature and space.

Research and Teaching interests: Contemporary American poetry; avant-garde and postmodern poetics; contemporary fiction in English; Shakespeare; ideology, power and literature; subjectivity and textuality; translation; art and literature.

Desde 1999 la labor docente del profesor Eusebio De Lorenzo en la Universidad Complutense ha estado centrada en dos áreas: Literatura en Lengua Inglesa y Traducción. En la titulación de Traducción e Interpretación de la Universidad Complutense ha coordinado e impartido —entre otras materias— cursos de Historia de la Traducción, Literatura Inglesa, y Traducción Editorial (inglés-español). Por otro lado, su docencia en Filología Inglesa —y ahora en el Grado de Estudios Ingleses— se ha centrado en literatura contemporánea (inglesa y norteamericana), así como en Shakespeare y la producción textual del Renacimiento.

Fue becario Fulbright durante dos años en el Departamento de Literatura en Lengua Inglesa de Stanford University.

 

Áreas de interés académico y de investigación: poesía contemporánea de EE.UU.; vanguardias y experimentación poética; narrativa contemporánea en lengua inglesa; Shakespeare; poder, ideología y literatura; traducción; subjetividad y textualidad; literatura y arte.
