Elena Domínguez Romero

Elena Domínguez Romero is senior lecturer of English Language and Linguistics at the Complutense University of Madrid. Her recent research interests include Evidentiality and Modality in media discourse as well as Applied Linguistics and innovative teaching. She is a research member of EVIDISPRAG “Evidentiality: A Discourse-Pragmatic Study of English and Other European Languages” (FFI2015-65474-P), and is currently working on evidential perception and visual literacy. Her research publications include over 50 papers in national and international journals and book chapters in Peter Lang, Routledge, Multilingual Matters or Echinox. She is co-editor of the volumes Evidentiality and Modality in European Languages (Peter Lang 2017) and Thinking Modally. English and Contrastive Studies on Modality (Cambridge Scholars 2015).

Elena Domínguez Romero es profesora contratada doctora adscrita al Departamento de Estudios Ingleses de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. En investigación, sus intereses más  recientes giran en torno a la Evidencialidad y la Modalidad en el discurso de los medios de comunicación tanto como a la Lingüística Aplicada y la innovación docente. Elena forma parte del equipo investigador de EVIDISPRAG “Evidentiality: A Discourse-Pragmatic Study of English and Other European Languages” (FFI2015-65474-P), y en la actualidad trabaja en percepción evidencial y destrezas visuales. Sus publicaciones incluyen más de 50 trabajos en revistas científicas nacionales e internacionales y capítulos de libros en Peter Lang, Routledge, Multilingual Matters o Echinox. Ha coeditado los volúmenesEvidentiality and Modality in European Languages (Peter Lang 2017) and Thinking Modally. English and Contrastive Studies on Modality (Cambridge Scholars 2015).
