Science Monologues
In December 2024, a scientific monologue competition was held with the participation of 15 researchers from the Complutense University of Madrid.
In this event, whose aim was to bring science closer to the public in an engaging and accessible way, David Castro was selected to present a monologue on a newly described cellular organelle, the exclusome. David successfully conveyed the relevance of this discovery and its impact on the field of cell biology. His performance was recognized with the award for best monologue of the competition. You can watch the event here.
In the 2025 edition, our group’s researcher Selene Pérez took part with the monologue “I’m VIP”, a creative piece focused on the role of the VIP peptide and its importance in cellular communication. Her performance, which you can watch at this link, stood out for its clarity, humor, and ability to connect with the audience.
