TROPA UCM has a strong collaboration with the Laboratory of Atmospheric and Oceanic Physics Simeon Fongang at the University Cheickh Anta Diop (UCAD) in Dakar, Senegal. Since 2011, TROPA has developed different activities.

1. Educational Activities:

  • 1.a Formation of PhD students. Under different cooperational programs (UCM, CSIC, Erasmus Mundus) we have funded the visit of students to the UCM.
  • 1.b Courses of data analysis.

- Seasonal variability in relation to the SST forcing on the West African Monsoon
- Statistical prediction of west African Monsoon anomalies
