We envisage that the emerging fundamental aspects and applications of laser-matter interactions should be harmoniously combined in the program of the COLA-2015 to be held in Cairns, Australia on 31 August – 4 September 2015. The program is multi-disciplinary by nature, including laser electro-magnetic field interaction with different material structures in a wide range of intensity, wavelength and pulse duration, and a broad scope of chemical, solid-state physics and biological aspects of laser-induced material transformations.
