On the occasion of proclamation of 2015 as International Year of Light and Light-based technologies by the United Nations, Menendez Pelayo International University and the research group of Laser Chemistry from Complutense University of Madrid, are organizing the "First International Meeting on Laser Spectroscopy and its Applications". It aims to provide a current and rigorous vision and an overview of the state of the art of laser spectroscopy and its numerous applications. The meeting will also focus on recent advances in data processing procedures and their applications in various fields such as Forensic Science, Food Industry, Archaeology and Health Sciences, both in theoretical and practical sessions.
Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the course, it is aimed for students of the third cycle of the Bachelor / Degree in Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacy, Geology, Archaeology etc), and the last year of the different degrees who wish to complete their training as  scientists and researchers in Medicine, Pharmacy, Archaeology, Food Industry, etc.
