Jorge Cáceres was appointed a Scientific Expert at the European Community Honey Commission
We are pleased to share some exciting news: Jorge Cáceres was appointed a Scientific Expert at the European Community Honey Commission. This appointment represents an excellent opportunity to contribute to the development of regulations that will benefit the beekeeping sector and the quality of honey in Europe.
We have recently held our first meeting, where crucial issues such as the detection of honey heating and the identification of adulteration were discussed. These are essential to ensure the authenticity and quality of the product, as well as to protect consumers and beekeepers.
The aim of our work is to develop a new law that applies to all EU member states, ensuring high and uniform standards in the production and marketing of honey. As an Independent Expert, my role is not tied to any member state or company, which allows me to offer an objective and focused perspective in the interest of the sector as a whole.
I hope to be able to contribute knowledge and experience that will be useful for the progress of this initiative and for the strengthening of beekeeping in Europe. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
