Laura Rodriguez

Laura Rodríguez Pérez was born in Oviedo (Spain) in 1981. In 2004 she received an Erasmus grant and spent a school year in the Ecole Européene de Chimie Polymères et Matériaux-Université Louis Pasteur and she was graduated in 2005 from the Universidad de Oviedo. Afterwards she spent 9 months at the Institute Français du Petrole, IFP (Lyon, France) to work in the preparation and characterization of monoliths for the electrochemical promotion of catalysis. Then, she moved on to theEcole Nationale Supérieure des Ingénieurs en Arts Chimiques Et Technologiques (ENSIACET-Toulouse, France) to joint the groups of Prof. Philippe Serp in the Laboratoire de chimie de coordination (LCC) and of Prof. Montserrat Gomez in the Laboratoire de heterochimie fundamental et appliqué (HFA). She obtained her PhD in 2009 with the thesis entitled “New catalytic systems based on carbon nanotubes supported ionic liquid phase”. After this period she spent one month at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (Mexico D.F.) in the group of Prof. Erika Martin Arrieta to work on tandem reactions catalyzed by metallic nanoparticles stabilized in ionic liquids. She joined the group of the Prof. Nazario Martin at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in mars 2010 as a postdoctoral researcher.
