Pablo Roca

Doctor

Pablo Roca is a psychologist working in both research and clinical practice. He got a
PhD in clinical psychology funded by a Harvard-UCM scholarship (PhD advisors: Carmelo
Vázquez at Complutense University and Richard McNally at Harvard University). He also has a
Master’s degree in General Health Psychology and has been awarded with several distinctions:
the National Award to Academic Excellence, the Complutense University Award to the best
Academic Record, and the High School Excellence Award. His work is focused on the study of
the action mechanisms and cognitive changes resulting from the practice of meditation in
clinical contexts, using a variety of experimental methodologies and analytic procedures like
Network Analysis. Pablo is also very interested in understanding of the relationship between
body, emotion and cognition from an experimental perspective, analyzing the relation between
Embodiment Theories and Cognitive Biases.
