EG009-Raso Pino II
The EG009- Raso del Pino II automatic weather station is located in ancient pine forest (Valsaín Forests) at 1.800 m.a.s.l. Atmospheric instrumentation does not include wind speed and precipitation, due to its forest location. Subsurface instrumentation comprises two boreholes of 2 and 20 meters depth also temperature and humidity sensors are placed at different heights. The purpose of this site is to compare the evolution of the atmosphere and underground station with its twin Raso del Pino II is stamped into a deforested area 250 meters away.
