Outreach: Master's degree in Meteorology and Geophysics UCM 2019
On June 13, 2019, GuMNet organized an outreach activity together with the coordination of the Master's degeree in Meteorology and Geophysics imparted by Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM). The goal of this activity was to provide the students with a complementary and practical knowledge of how observational data are recorded for subsequent research activities.
In order to do so, EG010-Herrería station, located in La Herrería forest (El Escorial), was visited. There, the studemts were given some talks on carbon dioxide flows measurements in subsoil, the instrumentation of the tower and subsoil structure. Afterwards, the group moved to Santa María del Buen Aire campside to enjoy some complementary colloquiums that enhanced their knowledge on observational data applications, in terms of investigation and academic activities. The excursion was topped off with a cultural visit to real Monasterio de San Lorenzo de El Escorial.
